We are incredibly pleased to see starting this week Morrisons for a second-year running have chosen to shine a spotlight on British farmers for their Christmas festive advert.
For those who missed it last year, the TV advert tells a tale about ‘Farmer Christmas’ who works “all year too” to deliver food to tables across the country.
This year’s Farmer Christmas travels across farmland on a tractor to his festive workshop where the ‘elves’ are preparing food by Morrisons and then on to deliver a festive feast to a family before joining them at the dinner table and cheekily asking “Right, who’s got the gravy then?”
Morrisons colleagues feature in the advert as ‘real life elves’ who help make more than half of the fresh food sold by the supermarket.
The advert then finishes with Farmer Christmas proudly explaining that Morrisons is the “only supermarket to be officially approved by me” because of its commitment to British farming and its food makers.
You will be able to see official Approved by Farmer Christmas Stamps throughout the store and online.
An excellent bit of marketing that will bring a smile to people’s faces whilst also highlighting the importance of British Farmers and all they do through out the year.
